PSD BANK KIEL
About the company.
PSD Bank Kiel is a member of the nationwide PSD banking group. It is a cooperative-oriented institution - thus the focus of its activities is not on achieving high corporate profits, but on providing advice and support to its customers and members in a spirit of partnership. The PSD Bank Kiel provides support in all matters relating to money and private asset protection.
The bank sees itself as an employer that wants to empower its female employees and provide them with all opportunities in the future so that they can organise their working day according to their wishes.
The challenges in relation to gender equality.
At PSD Bank Kiel, Sabine Kröger alone is responsible for the entire human resources management of the approximately 100 employees. As a result, not all topics can be addressed to the desired extent. Diversity is a matter close to Sabine's heart. Therefore, she was looking for a simple and effective solution to raise the mood within the bank quickly and cost-efficiently.
Lack of time
Gender equality could not be fully addressed.
No data on the status quo of gender equality are available.
No understanding of what measures need to be taken to achieve gender equality in a sustainable way and not to waste resources.
The results of the cooperation.
PSD Bank Kiel used the Female Lights software to survey, calculate and evaluate the status quo of gender equality. As part of this, the institute surveyed its employees on 10 different gender equality areas simply and individually via a simple and individual data-driven survey system.
Afterwards, the results could be inspected and analysed in the Female Lights dashboard
Gender equality areas that scored well:
Recognition Working conditions Culture Superior behaviour
Gender equality areas that need to be improved:
Women Empowerment Salary Career opportunities
Actions, that PSD Bank Kiel would like to implement in 2023.
In a workshop, different approaches and measures for raising awareness among the workforce with regard to gender equality are presented and discussed. The aim is to jointly develop a sustainable strategy.
Guideline for development discussions
A personalised guideline for development talks should help to drive personal development forward and guarantee the necessary personal commitment as well as the necessary support from the manager.
